Urea
- It is a natural moisturising factor with emollient effects that reduce water loss through the skin and contribute to better moisturisation (hydrating function). Furthermore, at 5% concentration, it is keratolytic (exfoliant function), working to eliminate dead cells from the epidermis.
- It has also been demonstrated that urea contributes to skin’s physiological renewal mechanisms.
